Built-in agents
An agent works with you in a conversation: you say what you want, it does the work, shows you the result as it goes, and asks when something is unclear. Every team has four.
| Agent | What it does |
|---|---|
| Document generator | Makes documents and images from your templates: one, or one for each row of a spreadsheet or Google Sheet. It asks which template when you have not said, matches the template's fields to your data, and asks about anything that does not fit. |
| Template designer | Creates a template from your description, or changes one: layout, fields, colours, images and fonts. |
| Form builder | Creates a form from your description, or changes one: questions, pages, logic (show or require a question for some answers, or skip to a page) and design, and connects it to a template. |
| Workflow generator | Sets up a workflow from your description, or changes one: what starts it, the steps it runs and their settings, including approvals, paths, loops over rows, steps at the same time and waits. The workflow opens beside the conversation, and anything only you can choose, such as the spreadsheet or the account, is marked there for you. |
Where to find them
- New task: type what you want and choose the agent from the menu beside the box.
- Agents in the sidebar lists all four.
- In the template or form editor, click Edit with AI and write what you want. A task opens with your template or form beside the conversation, showing each change as it is made; Undo takes a change back. Save a form before you ask.
What happens to your template, form or workflow
The Template designer changes the template's draft, the same draft you edit by hand. Nothing reaches your documents until you click Save version.
The Form builder changes the form's draft, which you see change in the builder beside the conversation; Undo takes a change back. People who open a published form see the changes once the form is published again.
The Workflow generator changes the workflow's draft. Tasks run it only once a version is saved, which you do, or ask it to.
