How credits are used
A credit is worth about a dollar. Everything you do in Automette spends from one balance, and each task shows exactly what it used.

Work that uses AI
Reading an invoice, extracting data, comparing documents, sorting files, or an agent deciding what to do next all use an AI model. These are charged at three times what the model cost to run, so the price depends on the model the agent uses and on how much it reads and writes. A short one-page document with the standard model is a few cents; a long document or a more powerful model costs more.
The agent's own reasoning between steps is charged the same way, as part of the task.
Examples
These are typical costs with the standard AI model. Your own tasks show their exact cost on the task page and on Settings → Usage.
| Job | About |
|---|---|
| 1,000 certificates from a spreadsheet | 10 credits |
| A form response that makes a PDF and emails it | 0.011 credits |
| Extract the details and line items from a one-page purchase order | 0.1 credits |
| Check an invoice packet: split it, read the invoice, purchase order and delivery note, compare them, and report differences | 1 credit |
Agents that run fixed steps only, with no AI, cost only their documents and messages.
