Online Forms

Build online forms and collect responses

Add the fields you need, set the logic, and match your branding. Share the form as a link or embed it in your site, and every response arrives in one place.

Use cases

What people build with forms

Contact and enquiry forms

Replace a mailto link with a form that validates what people type and keeps every enquiry in one list.

Lead capture

Collect details from a landing page or an ad, then push each one to your CRM as it arrives.

Job applications

Structured questions plus a CV upload, with a confirmation email sent back automatically.

Event registration

Take registrations, cap the total, and close the form on a date you set.

Surveys and feedback

Ratings, multi-select, and long text, with logic so people skip what does not apply.

Order and request forms

Repeating line items for quantities and options, totalled up on submission.

Onboarding and HR intake

Collect the details a new starter needs to provide, once, in a format your team can use.

Bookings and appointments

Date and time fields with limits, so you only take the slots you can fill.

Support and issue intake

Route by category using logic, and post each ticket straight into your own system.

Waitlists and sign-ups

A short form, an email confirmation, and an export when you are ready to invite people.

Internal requests

Expense claims, equipment requests, and approvals, gated behind a password when needed.

Data collection at scale

Anything you currently gather over email or in a spreadsheet, collected the same way every time.

Builder

Fields, logic, and branding

Field types

Text, email, phone, number, URL, dates and times, dropdowns, multi-select, ratings, checkboxes, file and image uploads, and repeating groups.

Conditional logic

Show or hide questions based on earlier answers, jump between pages, or redirect on submit.

Validation you control

Required fields, length and range limits, selection counts, file size and type restrictions, and regex patterns.

Repeating groups

Let someone add as many line items, attendees, or entries as they need, without you guessing the count up front.

Your branding

Set colours and fonts, add a logo and cover image, and write your own thank-you message.

Multi-page and embeds

Split a long form across pages with a progress bar, or embed it in your own site.

Responses

After someone submits

Inbox

One inbox for responses

Every submission is listed with its answers and uploads, filterable and exportable when you need it.

Email

Email notifications

Notify your team on each response, and send a confirmation back with their answers or a generated document attached.

Spam

Spam protection

Cloudflare Turnstile runs invisibly in the background, with per-address submission limits behind it.

Access

Limits and access

Set a password, a close date, a maximum number of responses, or one response per device.

Integrations

Where responses go next

A response is rarely the end of the job. Send each one to the tools you already use, or turn it into a finished file with Automette's document generation.

Webhooks

HTTP POST

Post each submission to your own endpoint, signed with Standard Webhooks and retried on failure.

Zapier and Make

No code

Send responses to your CRM, spreadsheets, and the other apps you use, without writing code.

Email

Auto-send

Send each response on by email, to your team or back to the person who submitted, with the answers or a generated document attached.

Document generation

PDF · PNG

Attach one of your Automette templates and each submission renders a finished PDF or image. Email it to the person who submitted, or keep it on the response.

CSV export

.csv

Download responses as a CSV whenever you need them in a spreadsheet or another tool.

REST API

GET /v1

Read forms and responses programmatically with the same API key you use for document generation.

Questions

Questions and answers

How are responses counted?

Each plan includes an allowance for responses. Collecting an answer is separate from generating a document, so credits are only used when a submission produces a document or an image. See pricing for current allowances.

Do I need a document template to use forms?

No. Forms work on their own as a form builder. Attaching a template is optional, and it is what you do when you want each submission to produce a document.

Can I embed a form in my own site?

Yes. Embed it inline on a page, or share the hosted link. Embedded forms keep your branding and your logic.

How do you handle spam?

Cloudflare Turnstile runs in the background, so most people never see a challenge. Behind that, submissions are rate limited per address per form, which stops a single source flooding you.

What happens to file uploads?

They are stored against the response and available from the inbox. You can set which file types you accept and a maximum size per field.

Can I move a form I already have?

There is no one-click importer. Start from a template that matches what you have, or rebuild the fields, which for most forms takes a few minutes.
